Let time flow through
each moment of experience;
learning to swim
with every tide, every awareness;
observing, understanding
each moment.

For as a picture once taken
it stands on its own merits
unchanged in its light and shadows:
every experience stored
in the fabric of the greater soul.

It is unwise
to long for a pliable future
unvisualized, unshapen, unknown;
to ponder too deeply
a past whose fire has died;
whose memory no longer strikes
the tender, the bitter chord of life.

Every moment must live unhindered
encouraging and enhancing the next
until all desires blended with faith,
birth harmonious dreams,
raise powerful creations.

This is a magnificent ‘write’!
[one of the best things I’ve ever read]

I am particularly fond of:

“Let time flow through
each moment of experience;
learning to swim
with every tide, every awareness;
observing, understanding
each moment.

For as a picture once taken
it stands on its own merits
unchanged in its light and shadows:
every experience stored
in the fabric of the greater soul”

serious, long-sustained applause
[a poetic ‘standing ovation’!]

someday, maybe I’ll finally pen
something this fine!

I'm in line behind Bruce on this one.
You've posted many many fine writes, and I am truly a fan of yours. But this? You've outdone yourself, my friend.
WW, I'll keep this one safe in my personal favorites library.

I'm in line too
I think this is my favorite of yours

"Every moment must live unhindered"

just that line alone is enough...
and the rest?

Fine writing...reminds me of something my friend said to me today..."Don't worry, be happy."  A reggae song sung by a friend a long time ago...James

Another great poem Windwalker. I didn't realize there were so many I hadn't read.
I think it pays to look into the archives sometimes. You never know what you might find.

This must have been posted before I was reading your work, WW -- now I want to go back and read ALL of it!
