Rule Britannia We English are a special breed Yet some may think us daft Maybe then I can explain It might give you a laugh No more proud than others Though gracious ….maybe not Born with pure white skin We easy burn a lot Our land of precipitation Permeates our very lives Stiff upper lip.. or something British Bulldog cries We have a metaphoric side Some visions of regret Played to our advantage Lest others should forget Musket at the ready Dressed up to perfection Excuse me while I tarry To bathe in this reflection Standing ramrod straight and tall We will not fear our foe With Bright Red Coats so visible We can show the way to go….. God Save the Queen Eric |
