Haunting were the strains
orchestrated of yesterdays
that played into my thoughts

and I tried to exhale hard;
to purge it from my lungs
but I felt the ocean

swelling in my chest.

I was drowning,
gasping for air

when you, were suddenly there
rescuing me, lifting the limp ragged edges

of my core

restoring light to the consuming shadows
that held my soul in hollow sounding
reticent refrains of a past symphony
that has slowly faded away

into the beautiful melody

of today.

Very haunting.

Isn't that the way it is though. Today always seems better than yesterday, principally, because it usually is.

Wish it could have been me who was rescuing you my friend, but I was just the unsung (story of my life) hero spread out on the ground for him to stand on without sinking to far into the muck and not being able to reach you at all.

And when it was all settled and done, of course I was still there in the muck -- not Sir Gallahad in person, but far stronger in heart than he could ever hope to be...and where in the world I'm am going with this, I haven't a clue....get a little giddy after taking my sleeping pill....blah, blah, blah...enough already!

but sometimes,
when looking to the North and West,
when the sun’s setting,
I think of you;
You are so beautiful then and
you wakened the spirit in me,
and I painted the day, passing
though it is, with you in mind.

And all the muck I've laid, am laying in, is
somehow...worth it...

Lordy, I know I'm going to spend the rest of my 'life' in limbo if I don't shutup here....

but rambling sho'nuff is fun, ain't it.

Well gee, if that above wasn't fun - it sure should have been!!!
