At the Crossroads of Infinity

Incandescent visions
Of a dark and distant past
Slowly fading memories
Destined not to last
Time erodes the images
We keep in our minds eye
It takes a vivid imagination
And a strong will not to cry

Sometimes it is very painful to look back. Thankfully the "dark" memories do fade away.

May your todays provide pleasant past memories for your future!

How dark a past you have already passed  and passed soundly. It is the future that we have to live.
Beautiful poem, dear John. enjoyed reading all of them

I agree for the most part but a lot depends on the memory.  Our memory is a monster.  It chooses what to remember not us.
