I'm not the first to get it wrong And I won't be the last So do not judge me harshly When you hear tales from my past There are bound to be those who say " I told him it would end this way " As they gleefully relate My occasional mistakes So if I should have but one regret Then it would have to be That they are not lying here Looking up at me! |

Yes very clever…. I am sure we all have closet’s full of mistakes.. with the occasional close call. I would have put this in the category “Tales from the Grave” which would make a very good poetry thread as against the usual epitaph ones…. Eric |
