it was the new car smell of an afternoon without hubcaps perfume flavored thickness like skin with memory my hands wanted your eyes to make circles with my fingers and ask you politely to view into mine as if they were the only and being that close to your lips I knew my arms would want to pretend you were sponge love full of something drinkable that needed to be crushed gentle til both of our shirts were ruined with aged in wrinkle patterns that would never come out unless we rode the evening bare back __________ daark |
