      MEADOWS OF THE MIND

I wander pathways seldom seen
A goldmine there to find,
I pause in pastures vivid green
In the meadows of the mind.

I know there must be more like me
Who see the grass as always green,
The moon shining bright on the darkest night
And dark clouds seldom seen.

There are some who say I fantasise
While others say I’m  blind,
But paradise is near, I see it clear
In the meadows of the mind.

There are some who always smile,
To themselves their sorrows keep,
As the adage says ,it’s as you sow,
Then that is how you’ll reap.

In reality things can be harsh
And people sometimes be unkind,
But if we try, we can all get by,
In the meadows of the mind

Oh LindsayP, How much this sounds like me.

You have a rose colored life and see the best in all. When you can see the wild flowers as beautiful, though others call them weeds, when you see meadows in the mist, your mind follows where it leads.

Count yourself blessed. "late"

I love the meadows of your mind! This is totally after my heart.

Beautiful!

Not just beautiful, but so very very true! The only real world is the world YOU see, and when you embrace it with so much love, you are bound to get so much back.
I hope you can inspire more people to see those meadows

it seems like a way to escape reality but in truth we all go there everyday... its a beautifil poem though i love it~

It's important that you have a place to go when you are lost lonely, scared

or even happy

I agree that it is important to have an optimistic nature even in the most trying of circumstances.
