Sweet Sap of Life Please Click Link above to hear music and my voice recording. Music: And the Birds Were Singing  Artist: Diane Romanello Sweet Sap of Life ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ I suck the sap of life so sweet, And trod the bitter beneath my prancing feet. I breathe in flowers’ fragrant breath, And will laugh with fairies until my death. With glad emotions I do dance, And greet each morning with exuberance. On my frailties ~ I do not dwell, For life is good and all is well. I skip my way thru’ daisy fields, And reap the bounty of summer yields. With every blessing that I perceive, My faith’s restored in full believe. I do not fear what life befalls, Whenever I hear bird madrigals. And as butterflies go winging by, My spirit rises to touch blue sky. I suck the sap of life so sweet, And trod the bitter beneath my prancing feet. I breathe in flowers’ fragrant breath, And will laugh with fairies until my death. . |

At our local monthly gathering of poets, I participate in the open mic and enjoy reciting and listening to others recite their poetry as well. Hi, Hawaii Man ~ Yes, James, I am. Those who know me and who are aware of all the trials and tribulations that I have had to face in life, are amazed that I am able to keep such a positive attitude. I enjoy the sweet, simple things in life ~ of which there are many ~ and after dealing with the less savory ones (from which I hopefully have learned a thing or two), I then release them up into the ethers and get on with living positively and in the now.
