... and when exactly do we know that they are trustworthy? It's beautiful to trust, but sometimes it takes courage when we have no references at all, when we can only trust our heart's suggestions. Thoughtful. Love, Margherita |

Thank you Lindsay and Margherita for the wonderful responses... Margherita I think sometimes we make bad choices in the beginning and set ourselves up for failure...some folks out there are just not trustworthy, and by moving slowly determinations can be made that can't be made by someone that moves to quickly... Are we following our heart or forcing our heart to go somewhere it doesn't want to go, or perhaps shouldn't go... One things for sure, as we learn to make wiser choices from day one, we will eliminate some of the heartaches that follow... Are you saying that you should just atomatically trust everyone... or do you look for warning signs before you take too many steps...James |

Dear James, in truth there is nothing worse than to discover that our trust has been ill placed and more so if this happens to innocent souls. So, I tend to trust, while being vigilant. And when I get a feeling of danger I call an Angel to my side. When we have no expectations, we risk less to be disappointed. To give without expecting anything in return would be the way, but maybe this truly unconditional love towards everyone is a privilege of Saints. Love, Margherita |

Margherita thanks for your nice thoughts on trust..I remember what President Reagan said concerning his dealings with the Russians..."Trust but verify"... It seems like that would apply to personal relationships also...and I believe it would be easier to trust someone that has a record of trust, than someone that has a record of disappointing those that trust in them... as for unconditional love...I'm not sure if God has called us to that...or perhaps he has not given me the understanding, ability or desire... I had someone try to break into my house about a month ago and I prayed to God for a strong angel to watch over my place...I am trusting in God but still doing my part and locking all the windows...James |
