Wanting to Trust

Trying to make sense of this all
As I continue to fall
Deeper and deeper my heart sinks
Does not matter what anyone thinks
To me you are worth it
Somehow you just seem to fit
Did not ask to feel this way
Cannot keep my emotions at bay
Wanting to know more
Though my heart is still sore
Be gentle with it love
My heart is fragile like a dove
Do not want to welcome anymore pain
Or pick up my shattered dreams again
Trust is hard to give out
When I always seem to doubt
Just want to be happy
Do not give up on me
Deep down I am scared
That my feelings will not be spared
I promise I will sort this out
And free my heart of doubt
For you my dear
My feelings are clear
So I will attempt to trust
That this dream will not turn to dust

I think many at one time or another can relate to these feelings of fear, but as they say if you don't give it a try you will never know if it will work out as you wish...
