The ground is damp on the bare of my knees
The grass, a rectangle of green
A Shade lighter than the rest
I can still see the lines of fresh

It states only your given
Not the one he seemed so driven
To make you wear

“Cun- Shangri-La”

I can only hope,
Peace, and strength to cope

I went to the other place.
Looking for a trace

His mother was there
But didn’t respond
When I asked where

I see your faces
In my minds eye

Smiling

Happy

Taken

Lost

“Cun- Shangri-La”

My only hope.

That and peace.

That's not...???

oh my...

You can have the "hope" left in my box if y'want lovie. (I need the empty box to pack anyway.)

Straight from the heart, and you are always good--but this is superb.

*prayers*

*smile*  Thank you for everything Karen, the prayers, the hope...all of it.

I wrote this earlier, before the other news..

and after my trip to the cemetery.

Susan, those lines just pulled me in -- great lines.  Don't know what the background is here, but I feel the "longing."   ....jo

Thank you both.

If I knew how to load a picture, I would and then this that I write, would be explained..

Susan,

This is awesome writing, evoking a sadness in me.  The entire poem brilliantly written.

I can still see the lines of fresh

It states only your given

My eyes are brimfilled after reading this and watching the u-tube video.  How sad.  I join you and the families in prayerful hope that the perpetrator(s) will be nabbed and brought to justice.  It'll never bring back the couple but at least let loved ones breathe a little easier.

God bless each of you.

This was nicely written. I hope it helps a little to put them to rest. "Late"
