(Something just for fun...)

So, tell me, you who deems himself a poet,
He who seeks and revels in fine praises:
For I have looked yet never saw-it
- Wherefrom have you cast those phrases?

Oh, I will tell you, if you have the time --
I take a thought, be it plain or fragrant,
And distill into words arranged in rhyme
The syllables that had gone vagrant.

Ah, but that sounds so mechanical...
The result surely rings canonical...

Well, as not to bore your skepticated mind
I shall proceed at length then to explain -
How within the rigid words you might find
Some hidden meanings they may contain.

But surely such found dual meanings
Must just confuse on further readings...

Ah, but confusion is a splendid game -
For the riddle is a repast for the soul;
Let each dine different, though the diet same;
Let each reader find his fairest role.

Well, I see now clearly your intent,
Thus the time with you was time well spent;
(Though perhaps next time I will instead
Seek not to question a swollen head).
