If It Were True There would be a designer's bouquet in your favorite ephemeral colors and a new orchid hybrid with its lasting bloom to fascinate us both many days to come If it were true We would spend a wispered evening at a distant place where neither of us were known in the hours before the lights are turned and the room is quiet but for the breathing If it were true I would ask for nothing more than a gentle smile in the morning ~but you are so very far away~ |

Thank you all for reading. Actually, a few poems to read to each other, enough to last a pint of Guinness, and I could be happy. If only it were true . . . |

in the hours before the lights are turned and the room is quiet but for the breathing I read this several times I love the melody especially the above verse! |
