What If?

What if the world slowed down?
And people started to discover
What true freedom is about and what life really is
I can see it now
People having the ability to think past today
Without everything spinning out
But the truth is
Life is going a million miles an hour
In this life
A stop to smell the roses can prove to be fatal

What if tragedy was non-existent?
And children found their loved ones
Right where they imagine them to be everyday
I can see it now
The biggest smile followed by a hug of the same nature
Tears of joy streaming down bright faces
But the truth is
Heartbreak happens and everything stops for a second
But as time goes on
You take emotions, lock them up, and try to move on

What if you could take His love?
And spread it throughout the world
To the people who are in dire need of it
I can see it now
People on their hands and knees not knowing why
With the feeling of unending love upon them
Without having to say a single word to someone
Their brokenness disappears and they realize
They aren’t beyond hope, because all heads can be lifted up
But the truth is
It isn’t that easy,
The mind gets so wrapped up in sorrow
That a savior becomes an enemy because they didn’t accept Him

Why is the truth so hard to swallow?
And
What if the world wasn’t filled with what ifs?

True life is not such a nice place, that is for sure. as I have found, life is your state of mind, you make of it what you wish and order from life your desires and your hopes. Life is a test which our souls wish to take, they wish to experience situations and evolve more, step by step, to their place beside God. Our journey in the end was unique and one that history and the past will recall, we must try to live and enjoy each day till end.

Enjoyed the read, thanks for sharing.

A poem full of irony. Your point is well taken.

I suppose one of life's truths is that the good comes with the bad because knowing what events are bad helps us to distinguish the good things in life. That just means we have to cherish what is good in life all the more.

Nice write and welcome to the site,
Kristabell
