What is the sound the wind speaks, slightly melodic tinny wind chime with rusty crust squeaks, can’t compete. Chocolate wrappers on the floor, many rum and cokes beer and smokes, elucidate the night before. Music playing, too loud to ignore. Torn brittle wire, hinges like rusting fingers, old wire door malingers, warped, twisted, unprotected. It shudders, slams, wind blows chocolate wrappers like twirling dervishes across the floor. Music playing, too loud to ignore. Pungent aroma wafting, reminiscent of a meal uneaten. Cigarette buts, air stifling, empty cans, tousled clothing strewn across the floor, arouse vague yet troubled memories of the night before. Music playing, too loud to ignore. Cockroaches, Ants, scurrying towards safety burrowing in dust balls beneath the fridge and the floor. Chocolate wrappers give shelter to fatted insects, helter skelter forming lines of mini tents marching towards the door. Music playing, too loud to ignore. |
