Eve :

                           no matter why the reason

                      for the changin' of our season

                                i was only teasin'

                      when i told you no more sneezin'

howard :

                      my shores were always freezin'

                      until you breezed into

                                         my life

                                       with ease

                      you stole my keys

                      but you were somebody else's wife

Eve :

                                  please Howard

                     get off your knees

                     i never meant to cause you strife

                                 i gave you D'sss

                     to save your bees

                     from buzzing with delight

                     but maybe i should've teased

                               and then our trees

                     could've spoken enough Chinese

                     to let me know your Japanese

                                was well intended

                     Howard's heart was suspended

                                   [Eve continues]



                                     with expertise

                     you sailed my  seas

                     without my kisses to appease

                                       your nights

                     true, i'm somebody's missus

                                  but your degrees

                     could heat my peas

                     do you have the courage to grab my trapeze?

Howard :

                     you know i do but i'm really discouraged

                     i thought our Sprees were supposed to encourage

                                      we're siamese

                             why haven't we flourished

                     i trusted your heart to love and to nourish

                                my skis could depart .............

Eve :

                     Howard, i promise, no referees

                                         this time
