Bag of Marbles (rewrite from Teen 5)

In an upside-down garden

Start here, walk away
enter through these golden gates,

and let it all just
slip from the tips of your fingers,
let it fly to the place

where patience is a virtue
and you do not need to justify
the rationality of a
baseball broken window

shattered pieces of glass shaping
circle rings around my finger which
do not mean a thing to me

I should not need justification
or a sense of mediation to explain
that you cannot compare to

shattered shards of simple thoughts,
and let the bag of marbles slip,

I hope you fall.
