Doughnuts They only come in one shape those flat oozing flaps of batter, squeezed, rolled ,shaped to perfection, ,abruptly abandoned to a copper of boiling oil though protecting, with mutual benevolence their constant, only friend, S.Hole. Relied on, always there holding boiling dough together from spitting pot to slippery slide tube sugar coated, tumbling in cinnamon their freedom, expulsion down the slide conduct in accordance with plan. Confinement, prison paper bag rabbit ear twist. Better to be on top? or sopping up oily juices and crusty crystals from the bottom, most favoured, most flavoured, last one. No discrimination, special treat handed to first customer on the street, paying small pittance for doughnut delight. Destruction, on first bite of the golden halo, S.Hole destroyed, malformed, on strangers chin, dripping oil, cinnamon sugar lips. Perfect S.Hole no more. H.L. |

Yum, makes me want to eat one right now. My favorites are Bavarian creme, Angel creme, and apple fritters. |
