. The snow Without mercy Falls heavily On all There is to view One thinks upon A once grand army Struggling To make it home And curses Back through history An emperor’s glib hauteur Passing off With blithe remarks Those too weak To bear the cold . |

I like this... well I like most things do with snow anyway. ![]() Much as I dislike replying to people's poems and correcting things I wished to ask if you in fact meant "hauteur" rather than "haughter"... I apologise for my pendatic behaviour! If I have missed some play on words please feel free to tell me to shut up...everyone else does! |

Triskaidekaphobia, It was the best I could find. I remember reading it once long ago as "haughtur" but could find it nowhere now so I went with what I did find and readers might best understand. What's the definition of your spelling, (if it's akin to an arrogant indifference to perceived subordinates, I have no problem changing the word)? I checked, your spelling accomplishes the same purpose hence the change. Thank you! John |

Ah, I have often remembered things in much the same way, trying to recall a word or a phrase years after reading it. I was merely curious as to your meaning ( I so hate misunderstanding things because I've been stupid and missed a pun ![]() Another thing I was curious about; is your name a reference to the wuxia (I probably mispelled it!) wrtier? |
