I thought, when you went home to God You were gone forever from my life I couldn't reach out to touch you I could no longer be your wife But as the years grow longer I've found the peace that I have sought My love for you grows stronger I know my fears were for naught I suddenly realized, my darling You're as far away as my thoughts I think of you every moment As you were...handsome and tall So you can see, my love You're not far away at all I've locked despair away And thrown away the key For as long as my mind can see you You're still here with me |

Bea, And certainly much closer than most people think! Excellent write, one I have not attempted as yet as so many have gone before whom I admire, including yourself. I still return to 'King of Terrors' every time I contemplate this. The communication of individuals across the realms is, both in this life and the hereafter, something special, the 'merging' of souls is God given, Ivor |

Thanks Bill...but that's what the poem is about...there's no need to be sad...they are closer than you think. Bea |
