Gods and Sinners

There is no God there's only man
to make this world a place that can
ignore the words of those that Cry
"He's coming back"... Just let him try!

For all the prophets, sons of God,
religions cause the pathway trod
by mankind when he goes to war
will someone tell me what it's for?

Some may object to what I say
but isn't there a better way,
for how in hell can heaven succeed
when Gods, not sinners plant the seed!

The moment created this second, is a  moment that's going to last.
It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

Three simple quatrains--when those speak of God and Sinner, ought to say enough:

a certain simple complexity, and loved the last line--

thanks Ivor, for the good company tonight.

Much enjoyed.

It's actually morning here, and I loved your post.  I nearly wrote a long response saying all it meant to me, but you did it superbly without me pouring out my understanding...

RDB

This one was actually hot off the pen, as you probably gathered if you followed my editing!

Thank you both again for your comments.

Interesting work upon this page
is clever rant, in subtle rage,
at what the world thinks we should
be doing in the name of good.

Time and matter come to naught
in havoc wraught of mortal thought.
