A Long Long Time

Seems like sometimes
goodbyes last until forever,
and hello's span only
short periods of time,
but when someone loves you,
when they really
truly love you,
that love will last for
a long long time.

Boy, this got me pondering James. I like that.

They always say first impressions happen so quickly, as do the simplest of hellos ... but goodbyes can truly be so drawn out. I like the comparison and concept here.

Best wishes,
/Kit

I've always enjoyed your writing, James, and this one is no exception.... your poem reminds me that the love we all should aspire to is unconditional love, no matter how long it lasts... thank you for this!
