Doomed are the wisdom words of a prophet shouting at the dead. As the mumbling brook pays no heed to the river bed so too the children feign deafness, miming penance in pretense. Both scoundrels and angels at play, do they listen to the words I say? Damned are the hopes flung high upon a buttressed castle walls. As the squirrel dreams to catch the oak tree as it falls so a fool feigns greatness, offers false claims of deftness. Both white knight and devils dismay do they listen to the words I say? Lost am I who’d leap the moon and leap a mountain just the same. As easy as these wasted words could bring a poets name, this useless writer witless bringing paltry lines as witness, Both fool and child to hide away who would listen to the words I say? |

Me. This is awesome--you opened with intrigue, and I like intrigue. You've been missed, Mr. Grinch. Be well, m'friend. |

VERY interesting, powerful (and 'thought provoking') write! I am especially fond of the lead lines: "Doomed are the wisdom words of a prophet shouting at the dead (!)" [this is EXACTLY how I feel...every time I attempt what I call 'social impact (or social conscience) writes...like my "Runaway American Dream" series] Serious, sustained applause on this piece!! |

very good, sir Grinch. You wrote beautifully. and of course very logic and philosophical as you did in backyard. enjoyed both. |
