           Crater Lake

Wizard and Phantom Ship islands…
glide the gentle sunset-lake
fine-mirrored in amber laced
   lapis-blue,
and framed by ancient
   guardian pines,
that grace the crater rim…
grand 'Deep-Time' sentinels!

Fine word-art! Especially enjoyable:

Wonderful to think of ancient pines as 'Deep-Time' sentinels!
