the sun was shining blue skies tasted sweet and I could look into Heaven so I waved magic clouds opened and became a whisper or a kiss they wrapped me in comfort until we descended below their milky contours and flew like a giant awkward bird over lush greenery and ribbons of rivers, sloughs, creeks weaving and lacing into knots and lost paths a maze of water that moved, with intent, from glaciers and mountain peaks to the waters of the Sound as if they were running from the home that I was excited to see again --- Alison |

a fine ‘write’! I especially LOVE : the ‘sweet’ blue skies… and the line: “…I could look into Heaven so I waved (!)” as well as the image of those: magic clouds wrapping (one) in comfort Applause!! |

"and I could look into Heaven so I waved" How lovely. I just flew home from Seattle. I saw the clouds covering clouds, the winding streams and rivers. I saw the snow capped mountains rising high above the clouds, but my simple mind did not even think to make of it a poem. You did that for me. thank you, latearrival. |
