A game that could never be beat
Sounds of laughter coming from afar
Don’t understand why such an angry soul
Waiting in the shadow, wanting a needy soul
The laughter from afar is near
I can’t run away
Is too close now.. It is too late
I have been caught in a feeling you call love
A sick love at that
A destructive love if I ever saw one
Caught in a web of destruction
I face my demon, my captor…
the one who will try to drainmy soul
With the will to survive , I look into his eyes..
Do as you please , master
but you will never break my spirit

Yes! never let them break your spirit!

J. M. Barrie, the playwright, may have said it best when he wrote, “God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December.”
