I am traced Smeared outline of what I use to be, this life has taken a turn I could have never foreseen My skin tingles with anticipation of touch that never materialized Transparent, a shadow of intention never quenched I am lost in a world of invisible need I miss you My memory now serves as a taunting reminder Of what has gone, a haunting detail tangible only in tears Bleeding the sweet, screaming obscenities for its sacrifice It shouldn’t have been like this I believed In something, that is just beyond my recognition Knowing once it was identifiable, yet never real Wanting it enough to think I could make it touchable, painless It could have been so much more I ache For a viable solution, a counter offer to misery An alternative to this hopeless destiny A world with the you I love, a world in which no one leaves, lies, pretends or dies. It would have been everything. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Susan~ The poignancy of your penning causes the eyes to mist~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

So good to read you but oh so sad a write. If you ever find that world, could you buy a one-way ticket for me too? |

Susan, I have been in that place, but never could I have expressed those feelings as vividly and emotively as you have just done. Giving you a loving, compassionate hug, Linda |

A sad write Susan, this line explained it all to me and with it I could connect. I ache For a viable solution, a counter offer to misery We all know the pain, life is the giver and taker of so much and it is out of our hands my friend. Love is out there and just waiting to be taken, have a wonderful day and take care. Rick |

There is so much ache and emotion penned throughout this Susan ... I loved how you wove the reader through these feelings. Really well done, much enjoyed. Best wishes, /Kit |

Today I take this piece (and flowers) to the grave of one that would have been 17 years old tomorrow. I tried to write this from my daughters point of view... Thank you for all the wonderfully kind replies. RIP Chelsea, "the baby" "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |
