Ground can be hard to keep beneath your feet like a carpet pulled from underneath you catch your breath before you lose it I always was one to breathe can you? Footsteps on damp pavement feeling the reverberations underneath my skin if I fall do I fall alone or will a hand be there to hold me careful the wings of this phoenix may burn no gold plated cages for me I need air I always was one to breathe But even air has restrictions and one can only fly for so long before they are scared to come back down knowing that the ground that held them is gone |

An interesting poem..some introspection...some pleas...some hope..some fears too..but all very good poetry..thank you for your mind words.. Goldenrose. Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky, ring out the old, ring in the new, ring out the false, ring in the true..A Lord Tennyson |

Nice writing...Reminded me of a song... "Sometimes...all I need is the air that I breathe, and to love you."...Semisonic... James |

I think it is the introspection that works well here too |
