Never...never again... will i hide my heart. Like a sun refracting lake, i have become pellucid. Warm these waters with your presence, glide upon smooth billowing calmness. Peer upon the colours of me, now sun lambent, laid for your eyes. Feathery mist disenthralls a brumal phoenix, trailing a veil across dawns burning backcloth. Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky, ring out the old, ring in the new, ring out the false, ring in the true..A Lord Tennyson [This message has been edited by Goldenrose (07-10-2007 07:31 AM).] |

Wonderful Imagery.... "dawns burning backcloth." Only one of many. It's impossible to hide your heart and be a good poet. |

grand-fine Romanticism! I am particularly fond of the image: "smooth billowing calmness" serious applause!! |

beautiful poem for a beautiful person! I wish you both the best! J. M. Barrie, the playwright, may have said it best when he wrote, “God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December.” |
