I opened the clear Glassed doors. Walking past The burgers yearning, Sitting atop the grills searing, burning. The lakes that ran Off the leaves faces, As deer’s pierced Around bushes that Mustard the swimming Swans, As each tasted the green Velvet of the Northern countryside. To the north I stared, Saw a man wash his face, With water so fluid, The clear lines Opened a mirror To his crust, filled, dotted eyes. I retreated back To the cabin, Unstitched the Wooden doorknob, Stretching my body Across the moons sofa, As the countryside Lay still under The moons curve side. |

I was with you each glorious step of the way. P.S. Please save burger for me! I enjoyed this step into the country. The simplest things can bring great pleasure. Love & country living, EA |
