I've passed the day to evening's song
No longer do I feel so strong
My skin is parched my bones are arched
My fluid mind now feels it's starched

And though my powers in decline
You still grow flowers on your vine
And I'm not reticent to say
I love you more each passing day.

Time has played its bag of tricks
Candles die and burned out wicks
But you my love transcend the right
My guiding star to guide my flight

Your humor is beyond compare
A perfect foil my mind to snare
Forever bubbling fresh and clean
You touched my heart with fruits unseen

You are the chaos of my life
I bow to you my loving wife

Dear sir, how are you? I wish everything was fine with you lately.

I love this one just as I loved the one "Isabel".

you have a way to write your love very romantically between the lines. Beautiful. and it is much better than many young one's love poem(new ones or classical ones) which are so plain and hallucinated without sense of life.

enjoyed your lovely poem for your beloved wife. beautiful truly.

have a wonderful weekend, sir Tabin!

Sey,
You're always the guy. What a wonderful collection of poetry your wife possesses. And how blessed we are to be able to read over her shoulder. May there always be ink in your pen and that gentle, loving spirit in your heart.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

You better bow to her if you know what's good for you     Just kidding Isabel, you're the greatest, and you sure take good care of your man that's for sure. If there were more couples like you two, there would never be such a word as divorce.   to you both.  Beautifully done Sy.  I talked to Nan and Liz today, and we were remembering the great times we all shared on our last visit, that is when I got over that horrible flu remember?

Your love shines through your words ... as brightly as it shone through your eyes when I met you both, dear Sy.

Isabel is a lucky woman indeed. To be loved so completely by a heart as sweet as yours ... now that is a gift beyond compare.

Best wishes and great big hugs to you both,
/Kit

Good morning, Sweet T, ~ you've been missed!
I am sending a cyber-basket of strawberries, cherries, and a bottle of iced berry wine for you both to share in celebration of your enduring love.
I am also including in the basket of dreams, some heavenly candles that will continue to burn forever more!

I am also sending my love and respect to you,

Sir Sonneteer, and to your lovely red rose.

Oh, and I tucked a piece of my divine angel good cake for each of you to enjoy!

Love's 'n hugs 'n angel kisses,

Earth Angel xo xo ...

You've written so many beautiful poems... but when you write for or about Isabel, the tenderness and love shine through... and go straight into the reader's heart. *S*

So very lovely and loving... big hugs to you both!!!

Lovely chaos here in your words.  Lovely wife, and you, Sir, have such heart.  I've missed your poems these past months.  And I see by the comments, you have been gone for a bit, too.   ~ Karen

How fortunate when growing old
to find that where you placed your soul.
It's tended with such loving care
that all time's penalties repair.

For age improves a love so true
that's shared eternally by two.
Delining power and burned out wicks
are symptoms of life's lesser tricks.

Maturity of Mind and Soul
with love that's shared
                 ...is mankind's goal.

Sey,

Or simply, I loved your poem and the experience behind it...

Ivor
