Once Exalted
02 July 2007

Once exalted, a string of strangulation,
this visionary, closed in pain.
Not to speak, but to seek,
an intoxicated smile, weeping.

The strength, washed away,
and made in clean.
Eyes unfocused,
the scent of gravity lost.

A body trembling in aches,
the bottle, empty or unfelt.
Numbness, no pain,
a heart tight in the chest.

Fingernails tarnished,
a yellow stain, masked.
The knot ready to untie,
the noose already
around her neck.

Dixie,

someone posted on a poem in the dungeons and enticed me back. Only I am not the comment type and often feel lost in this big world of pip. So my other place gets all my poems, a space away from the stars and the moon of pip.

Only in saying that I do miss my place and minimal feedback on pip. Thank you, for reminding me of those passing shadows and that the sun does not always go down.

From this poet and author of almost 600 poems for 2007.
