 My Olympian Lover ~ Linda L. Dowd~ While lying by my lover, I awoke to the sight, of an Olympian god bathed in soft, glowing light, His features were limned by the luminous rays, from a summer moon gleaming in full lunar phase. With delicate touch, I traced his aquiline nose, as he lie there beside me in regal repose. Then lovingly I cupped his fine, chiseled chin, and felt the warm stirrings of passion within. His lids slowly opened, revealing crystal blue eyes, ~ For he be not a god but godly man in disguise. I gasped at his maleness and intensity of gaze, and fell under his spell as I swooned in a daze. Together, in cadence, our hearts beat as one, as we vowed faithful love ‘til our last days were done. Waves of rising passions soon swept us away, Until the breaking hour of a dawning new day. Lovely Linda, and those two are about the best couple you could have picked for this poem. Two of my favorite actors, Kevin Bacon, and Kyra Sedgwick. She's great on "The Closer." |

Mysterious One ~ Sharon, your response just gave me goosebumples! Last evening, while watching some TV with my two daughters, Kyra Sedgewick momentarily appeared on the screen. I mentioned that she was married to Kevin Bacon and they were surprised and asked if I was sure about that. I suggested that they look it up on the net, to make certain I had gotten my facts straight. Well, none of us have done so. Then today, after looking at various graphic sites for a picture of lovers to accompany this poem (oh, my! I saw some veeery interesting pics!), I came across this one. It was not identified and I did not recognize the man and woman as being Kevin and Kyra. Very curious! Methinks you and I are on the same wavelength.  Anyhoo, I have now looked them up on the net ~ and yes, they ARE husband and wife! Thank you, Sharon! Giving you a warm, hug-o-love, Linda |

WOW!! You could melt the North Pole with this... Much less a guys heart! Beautiful EA! JL What I used to do with one hand tied behind my back now requires every muscle in my body, cohesively. |
