Love’s ‘Last Stand’

Under a liquid-blue canvas of clouds…
one can still taste the wind
that dances on the shining seas
of our finest dreams…
that sadly break,
(in waves of pale-rose twilight)
along the shores of love’s ‘last stand’
where wounded-hearts...
like shades within shadows hide,
(near the edge of a lost soul’s abyss)
on phantom stairways of a lonely mind,
in the tumbledown castles of Time!

This is a very good love poem.

I've never tried one of them, I don't think I could pull it off. I'm too self centered.
