Déjà Vu

I won the battle that I fought
‘tho the end of life was also brought,
But I could not leave with sight unseen,
My virgin bride, my Emmilene.

I knew my time was very near,
An end to future…that was clear,
But I’d not give up breath ‘til I had seen
Once more my beautiful Emmilene.

She found me propped against a tree;
I died whilst she was holding me.
She was my soul and held my heart
How hard it was for us, to part.

Emmilene...Oh! Sweet Emmilene
Look for me in many a dream
I don’t know how, or when or why
But we will be together - you and I.

*****

Since a child I have had this dream
About a lady named…Emmilene?
She looks as a lady of a by-gone era
But I see in her me…it couldn’t be clearer.

She appears the daughter of a Squire,
And many suitors for her hand inquire,
Always she’s dressed in virgin white
She seeks her love…lost in mortal fight.

Then she is aged, weathered and worn
Her red hair is grey and her gown is torn,
And I am woken up from my sleeping
By her wringing of hands and non-stop weeping.

The dream was different the other night,
Emmilene’s lover was right there in my sight.
I recognized him…but how can that be
And if I know him -does he know me?

Hi there Loren

Well here it is the tenth anniversary of our high school graduating class, what are you going to wear? Something fantabulous I hope as you were voted the worst dresser in the class. I have the Year Book in front of me, they voted me the girl with the biggest and meanest mouth but lovable anyway.

I got an email from Emily Anne, you remember how we stated she’d be the only one still a virgin when she got married. Well that’s the truth and she is getting married to…Okay! Don’t laugh here, she is so serious about this - a man she met in a dream. It appears she recognized him when she was at the University Library and it was instant recognition for him too, but they had never met before…it is all so strange. Anyway she will be at the do with her new husband and I am dying to see him - it’s all very ‘déjà vu’ and ooo ooo ooo, makes you wonder.

Love you gal, looking forward to seeing you

Chels.
