Thinking About Love

If love was to
deliver to you
the one that you desired,
would that prove love?

What if the person you loved
didn't want to love you.
Would love hold that
person hostage?
I don't think so.

It's an interesting question, James. I agree with you. I don't think that love would hold either people hostage; but, I do think that there would be sadness and hearbreak for both.

One, perhaps, would love and not have it returned and the other, perhaps,would wish s/he could love, but just would not be able to. Maybe, instead of a hostage to love, they become almost hostages to longing.

Yes, you gave me something to think about tonight.

Thank you aziza for the nice response...
after reading your response I changed it a little so it would be clearer that I think that love is not beholden to anyone...
and when it comes to romantic love...it is not wise to give it to just anyone...James

I don't believe Love is a person...More like a state of being...a certain deep down 'aaahhhh'....LOL
