My kids are strangers They’re so much older There’s silence at dinner The food taste different somehow 9 to 5 is painful But it really doesn’t matter There’s nothing like war To make a man feel small Trying to make some sense What makes a man hate a man? TV talking heads Politics from a satellite feed Lines drawn on a map Religion and ethnicity When the only thing that matters Is between you and me Found a picture G.I. Joe, machine gun pose So much easier When we knew so much less You hope to remember The glory days of your youth But I pray to forget Everyday and twice on Sunday Try to deny it Random things take me back And looking in the mirror The reflection tells the truth The hate I’ve seen From the both of us It’s getting harder to Put the bottle down I think I know better I see the looks you give You should know me better Can't wash the blood from skin |

I will say that the bottle doesn't help anything. I do understand though. and yes, how painful 9 to 5 is |
