Sally and Felix, yeah, they’re way bad. Not that nice kind of bad you hear in songs and stuff, but real bad bad, if you know what I mean. The kind of bad no one wants to sing bout— no, you don’t want to mention it. They’re the kind of bad that makes my mean street meaner— I mean it, Oh yeah. Yeah— they’re for real. You name it— they’ve been there, done that. Take my word for it. They don’t like you. Bobby |

Inner cities across the country seem to have much in common. Felix and Sally could reside in LA, Philly, Detroit, NY, or any other major American combat zone. |

The fine 'reality check' serial write continues! The inequities of the "Runaway American Dream's" socio-economic caste system both generates and exacerbates such 'bad'! additional applause!! |

They’re the kind of bad that makes my mean street meaner— I mean it, Oh yeah. Love the beat quality to this. By the way I checked out your webpage. Some pretty hard hitting poetry on there Ruth |

Passing shadows, Awww, come on now. They’re just sweet kids trying to make do. If you live on the yellow brick road I know about, you may have met them. Midnitesun, The “combat zones” you mention are where the American culture is born and raised. Anything else will pass, and be forgotten. Secondhanddreampoet, Thanks for the kind words. There are problems with that "Runaway American Dream", aren’t there. Ruth, Thanks for liking the beat quality of this poem. I wrote those poems on http://www.prengineers.com/poetry/ about ten years ago. One of my favorites is “A Mother’s Plea”. I’m glad they worked for you.
