 Our Endless Love ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ As endless as the rolling seas, As far as furthest star, Our love spans the Universe To distant worlds afar. This love of ours is sweeter, Than clover honey made by bees. Its music rivals that of birds, That sing high in the trees. It’s deeper than the oceans blue, As vast as starlit skies. Soothing as a springtime mist, As bright as gold sun rise. Love feeds our hearts and spirits, It refreshes like spring breeze. It connects us with the Universe, As we flow through life with ease. No matter what befalls us, We’ll stand strong ~ side by side.. We’ll rally and we’ll conquer, And for our needs, God will provide. As endless as the rolling seas, As far as furthest star, Our love spans the Universe To distant worlds afar. Love is the unifying force which integrates one’s soul with that of another. ~ Linda L. Earth Angel, I normally avoid love poetry as it is not usually my cup of tea. Except when it flows with meaning, feeling and artistry such as this. This is a wonderful piece of work, I am getting rather disturbed that people may think I do nothing but compliment the poets on this site, I am known elsewhere for being totally honest (though diplomatic)and I can assure you my standards have not dropped. I am truly amazed at some of the work I have read and this stands out for its form and content, emphasised perfectly by the repetition of the first stanza at the end. Namaste, Ivor |
