The path was easy, the first time, I fell in love, loving you, I followed the path, to where you led, straight to your heart, and closed the door. Words, laughter, love, kindness, and care, I had found my path, to the yellow brick road, Where dreams and wishes, became real, as real, as the love we share, and yes we still do. I want to walk, back down that road, the one that leads to your heart, Come and lead me there, don't leave me here, all alone, waiting, till you come to your senses. For you fill up my senses, like the trees in the forest, remember the song, our song, Wear me like a coat, one of many colors, eat me to be inside of you, consume me, so you feel full, full of love, life, happiness, and heavy, with purpose and meaning, with love written across your heart, The road is long, one day you will see me, at your door, knocking, will you let me come in? J. M. Barrie, the playwright, may have said it best when he wrote, “God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December.” [This message has been edited by A Romantic Heart (06-26-2007 05:06 AM).] |
