Hello
I’m still here
Loving you
And you
Are there
Aloof as always
Coming closer
Moving farther
Giving hope
Taking it back
I go with the flow
Ebbs and tides
But sometime soon
I’ll set myself
Free from you
And then
Maybe I'll know
The meaning of
Me...

Be kind at heart....for everyone you meet has their own battle to fight.........

Roniece, when you find the meaning, please let me know my friend, I have been searching over the passed few years, the answer is becoming clearer, but still the years are marching on. Don't want to wait till the end. Enjoyed the read, thanks for sharing.

Excellent write.
I can relate to this verse.

thank you for your comments... I haven't written anything for ages and then suddenly not one but two poems came from my heart

Drauntz... yes, Sydney is indeed a very beautiful city to live in ... though we are freezing here at the moment - ok, I'm exaggerating but 15 degrees C is pretty cold for us here!! bbbrrrrrr!!! I hate Winter!!   RDB

Roniece

I am so happy to be reading your poetry.  This is sadly lovely.  You are a lovely woman - I see that in every word you write.

I understand this all too well, RDB ... sometimes we truly do have to give ourselves the opportunity to move on in order to find ourselves. Not an easy path sometimes ... but I can attest that it is a rewarding one. Much enjoyed this.

Best wishes,
/Kit

"Giving hope
Taking it back"

Roniece, I sure know how this feels. And, boy does it hurt. I lived with the lies for a long, long time. Finding myself, has not been easy. I do hope you are able to get free, real soon.

Your poem here really hits home. I sure wish we could talk.
