You toss the word around loosely
like it means something to you
but your actions ring louder
than your uttered words do
so please don't waste time saying it
because you like hearing it spoke
it no longer holds truth
when to you, it's merely a joke;
while trying to cling to
what's already been lost

but you never expected to pay
such a very high cost.

Don't bother expressing
words not conveyed true
they no longer mean anything
when I hear them spoken by you.

No more hangin' on to the past
No more filling up my tomorrows
With yesterday's sorrows
No more lookin' over my shoulder {T.Tritt}

I have always heard, "Action Does Speak Louder Than Words". I have heard alot of words, but the action never matched the words.
