if we had been the sun shirts
we would have cut ourselves
shaving the shimmering
from giggle stones
on someday mornings

when rivers were low enough
in their sleepery
to stream their bed beads
reflectively unmade
with shallow mouth laughter

we enjoyed the slow sooth then
of moments with strangers
unknowing them thoroughly
inside and out with a glance
with our backs facing them

and our faces looking back again
at where we had not really been
wondering if we had let go
the kites on wind of dreams
that someday would be memories

we would wish we had forgotten

I don't know that such a tender
should ever be forgotten...

perhaps it was but a fantasy?

Smiling at you.

This is lovely doctrine, mud and all.

*but wishes don't always come true*

Some things run too deep to forget. Tattoos, you know? Truly moving, D.

There is something magical about the way that you spin words.

Reading your poetry is like eating dessert - it's a pleasure to be savored.
