 Artist: Donna Levinstone The Proclamation ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ In the wake of summer’s last setting sun, a gentian coverlet scrolled across sorbet skies. Akin to the pouring of salt on an open wound, I stood in stoic silence, plumbing the smoky depths of my emotions. As darkness befell the seaside port, I leaned against an ancient oak and found comfort in its steadfastness and strength. Lost in contemplation, my unseeing eyes looked out to sea. Retrospective thoughts tumbled in disarray from my confused mind. Emotions, long repressed, bubbled up from the very core of my being. As a primal scream threatened to break loose, I raised my eyes to the firmament and unwittingly declared: “I am not alone, for Thou art with me”. I knew not from whence this proclamation came. However, once the words were uttered, I knew them to be true. Indeed, I am not alone for God is with me. . |

 (angel friendship hugs) Oh Linda, this is so absolutely true, and it was this very belief in my heart that guided me through adversities of my own as a little boy; believing even when it seemed everyone outside the front door of my house was a stranger that mocked me, I found an ember of solace that maybe, just maybe, someone up there is looking after me, and I undeniably believe in that now, yay! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, He feels for all of us as He understands sacrifice better than any one of us do, this is a most wonderful, heartfelt write, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!  May love and light always shine upon you!
