Waitress

I knew a
waitress once.
After many years
of abuse
she had a plan,
to get free
from a controlling,
manipulating man.
And she executed
it (him) quite
successfully.
I know, because
that man
was me.

Check out the movie
"Waitress" at your
local theatre.
That man was me.

profound. thought on the surface is romantic.

Good.

To tell you the truth, the waitress to me related to Ayn Rand.

I am trying to get a second part time job as a waitress...I figure at the right place, the tips will be good and it will be worth working all those hours a day

of course there is no man to get free from...just a really heavy car payment LOL

I love your poems James

Thank you lacydee, aziza, rwood, Drauntz, j wesley, passing shadows and The Lady for the nice responses...
Passing shadows my ex-wife was a waitress for many years and made very good tips...
I like having a favorite waitress when I go to a restaurant...the one with the outgoing friendly personality that seems to be so cool and efficient...
I have never watched a movie, such as "Waitress" that reminded me so much of my past, the relationship between myself and my ex-wife.  The things I put her through, its no wonder she divorced me...I told my three sons to watch it because it reminded me of myself and their mom...James
