Poets Pen A poet’s mind is never done In sarcasm or just in fun Writing history or casting love It rides a dragon or a dove It takes you to the very edge With sympathy or just a pledge It fills you full of awe and fears Or echoes you with whispered dears It wheels you into dark extremes Or zeal’s you into lover’s dreams It sails you into sunders far Or makes you wonder who you are. It is an art that fills the mind With structured or unstructured find That sings a song of come along And seldom minds the right or wrong A poet is an alchemist An enzyme of a magic mist |
