calico gravel with wind wine
and a lean back on old wooden
it is good for the back and belly

to press on the names in hebrew
or the splinters of kanagroo kanji
over the skin and over tattoos

places for the fingers later
when the gypsy takes donations
from a stranger man in denim

and wears his shadow on her bosom
while shunning his eyes
lest he see her soul seam tear

and offer to mend it with wire lies

'mend it with wire lies' --that's the part that stands out, to me.

Your writing is a good brain workout
in the morning.  I didn't know I had
these pictures in my head...
I look forward to reading you.

While I admit your imagery escapes me sometimes, these wonderful lines felt good and solid and hit me in the gut.
