The wind is blowing, the sun is shining bright. I can walk all day, and then all night. Give me a simple flower, just picked from a field. A huge bright smile, is what it will yield. Take me out in the rain, and let me just be silly. I will be right at home, I mean this, really. Barefoot in the yard, or on a country dirt road. Listen to the birds, or maybe just a big toad. I find all my beauty, in such small, small things. This is what makes, my Southern Heart Sing. |

It's nice being that simply southern. I have a friend who calls me Southern Belle, but maybe that's because I live in Australia which is really further south than anyone ever wants to go. This is a jofully soft poem that resonates with me. a good commitee can decimate communication. |

Thank you all for your comments. I have been rich, poor and middle class and have learned that if you are not happy in your soul then nothing can make you happy. Took me a long time to learn this, but it is the truth. Happiness comes from within. |
