The Cowboy In barren wastelands a horse called Joe and a cowboy nobody knows rode into Ranch Wherever. There he met a woman and upon that day his life almost got a little better. She could be good to know, gracing his room like beautiful feathers. Her heart wanted to embrace him but the tumbleweeds kept rolling in. His heart tried to caress her the best it knew but the roaming range was his dearest friend. One starless night the cowboys horse said "Time to go"; he saddled up right away, always listening to his horse he called Joe. He bid her not to forget him, recalling a few things worthy of remember, and then he rode off into the sunset, on a sad day in December. Wrapped up in the the cares of past moments, two lonely souls had wasted another present moment. JamesLee 12June 2007 |
