The days had grown intemperate as night wept shadows of dissent, murmerings of blasphemy were whispered at the village well. Brothers raged against their kin, frought with dread imaginings tales of Goddess poisonings, and questions of impunity fed the people when crops failed, and salt of tears filled empty pail-- darkness cast across the sun, at noon, and people proclaimed Hell had at last been actualized because of heresy and lies amongst their fellows and women were covered lest they tempt the men to sin, and sin, and sin again-- as if such hunger had an end. Every finger pointed eight: infinite, consumed with hate. They burnt their tongues, taunting the Fates: "The Sisters of the Cups, their taste, is sorcery!" they all proclaimed. "Sacrifices must be made." The men grew beards to hide their face as they toppled the high place where Sophia's saving grace dwelled the day that Wisdom died. These words are the secret scribe, the truth before Pandora's lie; the jar which held the woes of men still contains the medicine that still might save the lives of those who have the fortitude and faith to embrace the worth of "Hope" and release the chains of hate. Consider this most carefully-- is hope an evil of decree? Or just another fallacy a whimsy of serenity? The difference is all there is-- a choice: Despair? Or happiness? Myself, I like my own deceit (if that is how the judge decrees) I prefer to die happy, believing in delivery from the spell of mine own ink! "Choose thou..." and choose carefully-- sometimes looking is the leap. * * * * * |

Hi Serenity A Gr8 piece, it's so easy to dwell on the negative and lose your center. |

"sometimes looking is the leap." *smile* sometimes we just don't look hard enough or with truthful eyes... It's my shadow poking me, provoking me to do what it cannot taunting me, calling me a coward for not seeking everything I could have sought Mockingly pushing me disappointed that I could and do not Maybe we are all just blind. "The day Wisdom died." "too bad ignorance isn't painful" ~Unknown~ |

Thanks all, and yes, my dear Paullie--I kinda slaughtered a thought I started out to convey, but then all this other stuff got in my way. (Remind me never again, to read Tertullian during PMS... ) That's kinda like gassing up with a cig in your mouth. Sheesh. ah well, I'll try to get to the other point again someday--thanks all for your patience. |
